The Aquatec Maxcon Scholarship

Applications are open for commencing students to study for SEMESTER 1, 2020
in the Master of Urban Water Engineering

Applications close: 2 December 2019

The purpose of the Scholarship is to assist meritorious students with the costs of tuition fees while studying in the field of Urban Water Engineering in the Master of Engineering at The University of Queensland.  
You have already applied to The University of Queensland to undertake coursework postgraduates studies and have accepted an offer or received an unconditional offer to commence study for Semester 1, 2020 for the Master of Engineering in the field of Urban Water Engineering. 

The Scholarship will be awarded to a student showing greatest merit, as demonstrated by -
academic achievement; personal qualities, including leadership potential; and any other qualities that the selection committee considers to be relevant to the future success in the engineering profession.  See scholarship rules Scholarship rules.

To Apply you must meet the criteria of the Aquatec Maxcon Scholarship rules;
*submit an application to the Head of School, by the advertised closing date;
*if have accepted an offer or received an unconditional offer to commence study for Semester 1, 2020;
*if you intend to enrol full-time to study at The University of Queensland;
* do not hold another scholarship that the Head of School considers to be similar;

Documents required - you may wish to prepare these documents in advance before commencing the on-line application form.   As part of the application you will be requested to upload your cover letter, resume and copies of any academic transcripts or qualifications you may have (if applicable).

*Cover letter addressed to Professor Peter Halley, School of Chemical Engineering, The University of Queensland and include details of your strength of interest in your field of study; any leadership experience; professional interest area; career ambitions; personal qualities and how will you benefit from this scholarship.
*Resume of no more than 2 double-sided x A4 pages (include your skills summary; education; demonstrated leadership skills; personal qualities; any extra-curricular activities / membership ie. community service, engagement, sporting or cultural achievements.  
*Copies of any academic transcripts or other qualifications you may have (if applicable);  

Please combine your cover letter, resume and academic transcripts etc into ONE pdf file.
Please save your file as Surname_FirstName_Aquatec.pdf, for example Smith_Jane_Aquatec.pdf 

Other important information:
Incomplete applications will not be processed.
Candidates may be requested to participate in an interview as part of the selection process.
Applicants will be notified via email (to UQ student email or the email provided at the time of application) if shortlisted for an interview.
